CELEBRATION of NEW MINISTRY

Sunday afternoon, September 8, 2019 at 4:00

A Celebration of New Ministry for Trinity and their new pastor, The Rev. Sheila Seekins, will be held at the church, 247 Bates St., beginning at 4:00. The Rt. Rev. Thomas J. Brown, newly elected Bishop of Maine will be celebrant. Preaching will be The Rev. Kerry R. Mansir, rector of Christ Church, Gardiner. The Rev. Seekins will preside at the Eucharist. A reception will follow the service.

A Celebration of New Ministry serves several purposes.  First is to celebrate both the ministry of the new rector and the ministry of the congregation and its people.  It is an opportunity to launch a vision for shared ministry in the years to come.  It also gathers the larger faith community together to set forth the broader context of connection and express the congregation’s commitment to broader shared ministry.

Please come celebrate with us! The worship service is open to all and guests are invited to bring donations for two of Trinity Church’s ministry partner agencies – The Center for Wisdom’s Women and The Jubilee Center.  Please bring new, unopened and full size shampoo, toothpaste or deodorant for the women’s center, or canned goods for the food pantry. Cash offerings will be designated for the rector’s discretionary fund. A reception will follow.

Please note:  There will be no Sunday morning worship on Sept 8.
